Class Description

The body is a priceless possession for the Christian. Our task in PE/Health classes it to educate each student in the proper use of his/her body throughout life. For it is through the physical, that the other aspects of man...the mental, spiritual, and emotional can function well and to their capacity.

PE/Health at Unity Christian is a combination of activities and health topics taught from a Christian perspective with the goal that students will see that the care of their body is a moral responsibility and part of their reasonable service to God.

Since care of the body is a life-long task, many activities we participate in can have carry-over value for later years. Many activities are also team activities which emphasize the proper social interaction, as well as numerous fitness related activities. With a wide variety of exposure to activities and health topics we attempt to prepare students to live an active and healthful life. The class is required one semester each year a student is enrolled at Unity Christian.
