Position at Unity: Librarian
Professional and Educational Background:

After being a stay at home mom for many years I was hired by Unity to be the part time Media Secretary.  I then took summer classes to get my Public Library Management Certificate and I take a class every summer to keep up my certification.
Childhood and Family Background: I was born and raised in Orange City and I attended Orange City Christian and Unity Christian.  My husband Arlyn and I have 3 sons, one daughter and 4 grandsons.
Church Life: I am a member of the Alton Reformed Church where my husband and I belong to a small group Bible study.  I have served as an elder and I am currently on the Gather Team.
Life Outside of Unity: I love spending time with my family, and especially love being a Grandma to my 4 grandsons.  I enjoy reading, riding motorcycle with my husband and we also enjoy boating as a family.

Why I Work at Unity: I love the challenge of working with teenagers and enjoy helping them in the Library.  God has given each one of us a unique place to serve Him and I have been blessed to be able to serve God here at Unity.  The people I work with make my job here a joy.  We are truly a "Unity Family" and that is why I have spent the last 21 years working in this great place.
