Taught by: Mr. Folkerts
This course introduces students to analog photography, the darkroom and digital photography. There will also be a few projects with the students choice of media. Prerequisites: Art 1, 2 and 4.
Time is given during class to work on projects. Some additional time outside of class may be required for the student to produce work consistent with his/her capabilities. Daily use of class time can affect the student's grade.
Each project will vary in the amount of time required to complete and value to the final grade.
There will not be any written tests.
Each project is graded based on these criteria:
* design solution to the assignment
* control of the medium
* Christian approach to the subject
In each project, some criteria will be more critical than others.
Communication with parents is extremely helpful. I can be reached at 737-3460 in the evenings or at 737-4114 during the day at school. There will be times when I initiate communication, but I hope parents will feel free to contact me first.
