Position at Unity Christian: Teaching in the history and physical education department and teaching courses in World History, American Government,and PE/Health. Coaching 9th grade boys basketball and varsity boys soccer.

Professional And Educational Background: I graduated from Dordt College in 1998 with a BA in Secondary Education. I taught at Faith Christian in Bigelow, MN for 3 years. In 2001, I returned to Dordt and received a History Major. In 2002, I started at Sibley-Ocheyedan as a Social Studies teacher.

Childhood and Family Background: I was born and raised in Primghar, IA. I attended Sanborn Christian School and Unity Christian High School, graduating in 1994. I married Pamela Kruid on July 12, 1997. We have 2 boys, Bryce Lee (born May 1, 2004) and Brayden Lee (born January 28, 2008).

Church Life: My family and I are members of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Orange City.

Life outside of Unity: I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my family going camping, golfing, hunting, and bike riding. I also enjoy doing some landscaping during my spare time.

Why I teach at Unity: Unity has always had a special place in my heart and has helped me develop into the man I am today. I love to work with the students and be able to assist them in using their God-given talents. I feel called to be here and am excited to continue my walk with God along with the staff and students of Unity.
